The common grey hornbill is fairly abundant in localities where there are plenty of papal and other species of wild-fig trees, upon the fruit of which it feeds. It is generally met with in pairs, occasionally three or four together, and when one flies from a tree, the others are sure to follow it immediately. Its flight is slow and undulating. Though it doubtless breeds here, I have not yet found its nest.
